The Sunset at Ootago Beach

Nishiizu claims that Ootago Beach has the most beautiful sunset in Japan. The views are magical and mystical – especially around Autumnal Equinox Day (usually on 22/23 September) and Vernal Equinox Day (usually on 20/21 March) – when you can enjoy the silhouettes of fishing boats and seabirds against the sun setting behind Tagojima. It has also been selected as one of the “100 Best Sunsets in Japan”.
