Senganmon Sea Cave

Senganmon is a tunnel formed by coastal erosion through the middle of a large rock outcrop, and looks like a giant gateway. Due to its similarity in appearance to the gate (mon) of Kumomi-Sengen Shrine, on the summit of Mt. Eboshi, it was once called Sengen-mon, but now it is known as Senganmon, or Gate of a Thousand Coins, due to the perceived value of how impressive a sight it was.
