Ishiro Shrine

Believed to have been founded in the year 701, though the current shrine hall dates to 1901, this shrine is located in the beautiful landscape formed by the cliffs further down from the Cape Irozaki lighthouse. The shrine hall, atop its thick posts, is considered one of the Seven Mysteries of Izu.
