Ishibu Rice Terraces

Some 370 rice paddies on 4.2 hectares cascade down the hillside, dropping from 250 m to 120 m. Rice terraces like this, with stone retaining walls, are unusual in Eastern Japan.
From there, you can see over Suruga Bay, and on a clear day, you can have a view of Mt. Fuji and the Southern Alps.
