Cherry Avenue Along the Nakagawa River

Around 1200 Somie-Yoshino cherry trees have been planted for about 6 km along the Nakagawa River flowing through central Matsuzaki, from its mouth to Osawa Onsen. These bloom from late March to early April, creating one of the most noted cherry-viewing sites in the region. When the flowers are in blossom they are lit up at night, and the sight of them reflected in the Nakagawa River is truly mystical.
